Recovery of Dissolved Hydrogen Sulfide from Various Wastewater Streams Using Membranes and Other Relevant Techniques: A Review

Given the significance of dissolved H2S, various techniques have been explored in literature. The current review describes detail membrane-based techniques, such as membrane contactors, for removing H2S from wastewater streams. Various types hydrophobic membranes used, with more emphasis placed on PVDF hollow fiber membranes. do not allow water to pass through, whereas is readily allowed through at ambient conditions. In addition, use monoethanol amine triazine (MEA-Triazine)- based scavengers has also described detail, including possible scavenging mechanism. possibility different byproducts explained along routes get rid scavenger byproducts, apDTZ. peroxy acetic acid oxidize and solubilize Furthermore, vacuum-based gas detail. application Knudsen bulk diffusion models separation pores fibers explained.
